Cystic Pimple Treatment
A cystic pimple takes several days to come to the surface. It looks like a boil.
It is very painful to the touch. Squeezing it does nothing except make it look redder than it already is.
If it does break, only watery liquid comes out. The core remains inside.
It stays on the surface for several days until it finally subsides.
These pimples cause scarring whether you pick at them or not.
Cystic acne does not respond to over-the-counter products or home-made masks. A dermatologist and prescription medications are about the only things that help.

You can get a cortisone injection at the doctor’s. Usually makes it go away within hours; if not, usually with a day or so. Just DO NOT “play” with it or try to squeeze it (a lot of people try to relieve the pain – only to make it worse).
Thanks for reading and good luck with your cystic pimples.

Are birth control pills a good cystic acne treatment. Do they help with them like they do with regular old acne? thanks
@Tammy: Sure will. For me it seems to cut their frequency in half. The rest I have to take care of with a natural treatment.
I was wondering if you knew how to prevent a cystic pimple from forming? I have a red spot on my nose and I want to prevent it from going full blown cystic pimple on me.
@Mary: Try a dab of toothpaste. It’ll dry over pimple and cause the head to come to the surface faster.
Good luck!
